If you need that extra length of the Macka (742MFS) I would for for that model. I'd suggest a 3000 or 4000 size reel for those two rods.

I have the drunknmonkies which im currently using for bream, flathead, whiting, rat kings and other small species but im planning to get a bigger rod to throw bigger plastics to target jews, bigger kings, and snapper but im stuck between the shake n bake and the macka. Also I was planning to get a heavy and i was looking at the nugget to go offshore to target big kings and generally bigger fish. What size reel should i pair with the SAB/MAcka and the Nugget. And is the SAB or Macka better for what im targeting
