The number relates to the size of the reel. A 2000 is the smallest of a 2000, 2500, and 5000. A 2500 or 3000 is the ideal size for matching to a light to medium powered rod that you would use for fishing the estuary.
I’m looking for advice on selecting a new spinning combo. What is the different reel size mean, 2000vs 2500vs 5000
I’m thinking of a 7’ combo for estuary fishing in salt water.
