That all depends on the thickness of the 8lb being used. A 2500 will hold 200m of PE 0.8. J-Braid Expedition in 8lb is a PE 0.6, so you will get a bit over 200m on the reel. J-Braid Grand in 8lb in comparison is a PE1 so you'll get under 200m of it on the reel.
