What model of dragger should iget for my daiwa 25 ballistic hd 5000D Xh Ark?
Hi Daiwa team,
I’m using the 2025 Daiwa Ballistic HD 5000D-XH ARK for rock fishing, mainly targeting mid-size pelagics like bonito, kingfish, and salmon. I’m spooled with PE 2.0 (approx. 40lb braid).
I’m considering pairing it with the 2025 Daiwa Dragger X 100M rod (PE 1.5–2.5, cast weight 15–60g). Would this be a suitable and well-balanced match for this kind of fishing from the rocks? Or would you recommend a heavier rod like the 100MH instead?
Appreciate your guidance — just want to make sure I get the most out of this setup!
