My brand new dragger sx 103m baitcast from Japan broke first cast 40g jig. Can daiwa Aus help in any way?
The problem is i bought from Japan online brand new as that model isn't supplied in Australia. Tried their customer service email tried 3 times (translate to
Japanese last email to make sure they understand) past 2 months no reply and also Daiwas Aus customer service still no reply and phone call left on hold all the time until it got too frustrating so i need to post something public for you and other potential buyers to see in the hopes for you to help me with your defect. Please what can I do? I paid over $600+ aud for a rod that couldn't handle 40g? I have had 3 other rods similar spec that i throw between 30 to 100g jigs past 10 years no problem so 100% not user error as I am VERY careful with my rods. Thankyou

The correct path to follow in your situation is exactly the one that you've done. Reach out to the store that you bought it from and they in turn should contact the Daiwa branch that the rod came from. It's unfortunate that you've done that and you have had no success. Sadly if the rod didn't come from Daiwa Australia we're limited in what we can do. In saying that I suggest that you drop us an email at fishing@daiwaaustralia.com.au and they’ll be able to provide you with some additional assistance. Feel free to message me again if need be, and all the best.
