That rod would be great and I think a 6000 size reel would be the sweet spot in terms of reel size.
Is the Saltist M-Over good for casting at Tuna, and what would be a good-sized reel to match with it, running PE3?
I'm trying to catch Longtail Tuna from the boat casting 40g slugs but finding them a bit skitish. I'm thinking the 8" rod would help launch a slug as far as possible to try and reach the fish from further out. Also wondering what would be a good sized reel to match with it. I'm open to suggestions to another rod/reel/line rating.
