It's hard to give an exact weight on a reel because it's all about finding the right combination between the rod and reel and getting the balance point just right. The balance point of course being how the outfit fits it you hand when you hold it with one hand and the stem of the reel located between your fingers. Some rods can be what's described as top or tip heavy and require a heavier reel to achieve the correct balance. An outfit that you hold and the rod tip has a tendency to fall quickly is an example of rod that's not correctly balanced. Some rods balance very easily with almost any reel while some others (such as a short rear butt rod) often require a heavier reel to get the balance spot on. A rod that needs a specific reel for optimum balance doesn't mean it was poorly designed or built, often specific styles and proportioned rods are more specific in the reel that best matches to them. Sorry I couldn't give you a specific weight to your question, because it's very much a "it depends" kind of answer. Hope this explanation helps.
