Yes the TD Black MQ is made to handle the elements and saltwater with extensive sealing and Magseal in particular keeping salt, dirt and water out.
Is it sealed enough?
Looking for a versatile light reel. My previous basic reel got destroyed by sea spray, heavy rain, etc. After a self service it jammed again, simply because it just wasn't sealed enough. I want a really dependable 2500 sized reel. Doesn't need to be the smoothest, but I want to be able to trust it with jets of water, outside of outright submersion. Applications incl. estuaries, light inshore, light beach fishing, squidding.
