The taper is ok though it will be a bit light (aka action). I'd opt for a light or medium powered/action rod for squid.
Is the 8'6" ultra light suitable for squid or is the action too fast?
I've got a luvius 3012 or a td black 4000 to pair with a squid rod for shore based fishing or should I just be looking at other daiwa egi rods
