You'll be ok. You're drag won't be set beyond the breaking strain of your line, and in most cases your leader knot or leader will break first.
Im using pe 0.6 8lb if i switch to saltiga 0.6 13lb can it damage my gear because of the strength? 1-4kg infeet rod
Just curious because would it be more beneficial to have a stronger braid with the exact same diameter? As the 4-10lb FC leader should snap anyway?
