What's the main difference between the durasensor and the j braid expedition?
Going for land based tuna/spaniard/king-queenfish/bonito/salmon (Southern WA, SA, VIC) on a 25-60gr (oceans legacy dream cast) rod with a Saragossa 6000 which will hold 300m of PE3.
I'm trying to decide between 300m of the PE3 durasensor, 300m of PE3 expedition braid and getting 500m of PE2.5 expedition braid which will probably get me around 350-400m on the reel.
PE2.5 Expedition would mean lighter drag, less stress on rod and reel, potentially further casts. The Durasensor seems to be more abrasion resistant/ durable which means it might last longer and it can handle longer and harder fights.
500m of PE2.5 is also the most expensive, especially since I won't need 500m.
I don't have enough experience yet to know whether 300m of line is plenty for the types of fish i'm going for with a medium-light setup like mine, or if an extra 50-100m of line can actually make a difference.
If the difference in toughness is minimal, and 300m is plenty then I might as well save $10 and just go with the 300m PE3 expedition.
Thanks for reading, curious what you think!
Cheers,
Hans

My advice would be to go with Expedition. It features a new line coating, is nice and thin, highly abrasion resistance, doesn't absorb water. The result is a line that performs incredibly well and lasts.
