Yes it certainly can. The Saltist MQ has a screen in handle. If you hold the spool and rotor of the reel, then backwind the handle it will unscrew. You can them swap it to the other side of the reel.
I just got the Daiwa 21 Saltist MQ 4000D-XH and it’s left handed can it switch to right it’s left handed
