A 4000-6000 would be ideal for the Slugger. The Slugger is a great rod for many applications, though it was largely designed for spinning (aka throwing slugs) for mackerel, tuna, etc.
Re - 20 TD BLACK SLUGGER 802MHFS, just wondering what reel size would be best and what the target species would be?
