It will be ok to throw a 10gram. Just be aware that the blank will work harder on the cast with the increase in weight so don't go too crazy on the cast.
I have an Itchy Twitchy that tosses 1-7gr. Would it hurt the rod if I were to toss up to 10gr with it.
