A custom reel seat is a reel seat designed and made by Daiwa. It doesn't only take Daiwa reels though, other reel brands will fit it as well.
Daiwa 21 Saltiga Surf Rod, what does it mean by a custom Daiwa reel seat? COMPATIBLE WITH REELS FROM OTHER BRANDS? 20 SALTIGA TOURNAMENT RODS
In the description of the Daiwa 21 Saltiga Surf Rod there is something called a custom daiwa reel seat. I was just wondering if the rod is compatible with reels from other brands as was not sure what a custom reel seat means. Does it mean that it is only designed to have a daiwa reel on the rod? Or does it just mean it is designed by daiwa? I was wondering this as i was thinking of pairing the rod with my penn slammer 5500, but wasnt sure if i can put it on the rod.
NOTE: I put 20 saltiga tournament rod as the product because for whatever reason, there is no option to select the 21 SALTIGA SURF rod. The 21 SALTIGA SURF ROD IS WHAT I AM INQUIRING ABOUT
